Badami Road Trip

Badami is an ancient capital of Chalukya Kingdom.

                            Diwali holidays were about to end and we decided to visit badami in Two days.

The Route :-Pandharpur→Mangalwedha→Chadchan→Zalaki→Bijapur→Bagalkot→Badami.

Car:-           Tata Nano 2012 LX

Group:-       Me,My Better half,My Brother,Mother,And Our cute family member Tillu(puppy)

 Day 1:-      Woke up early and washed the car.checked tyre pressure,Coolent,Engine oil.Also took some essential tools like puncture kit and foot air pump and some spanners.After filling petrol up to brim we left Pandharpur 09:30 AM.

                                                           Early morning the travel experience is always more enjoyable and fresh.Pandharpur to Zalaki the road was average state highway so I was driving very gently and all family members were also enjoying the morning drive.At 10:30 AM we reached at small town Chadachan.This place is femous for purchasing cloths.We stoped at road side hotel and since Karnataka was started we ordered Idali Sambhar(most popular south indian breakfast dish).

                                                                                            We left Chadachan at about 11:10 and after some minutes driving joined the NH13 highway(Solapur-Bijapur).The main problem for driving on NH13 is being national highway its not 4 lane so you have to keep your mind calm and also avoid harsh overtaking because of heavy trafic.I was driving very calmly at 60kmph reached Bijapur after driving  one and half hour.

After Bijapur The road was buttersmooth with 6 lane new built highway.Nano crossed 100kmph within few seconds...Yes 100kmph😊!!!!!!.

                                                    After crossing Alamatti We took right turn forBagalkot.This Road is single road but very clean and buttersmooth.We reached Bagalkot and took food.After lunch we left Bagalkot and reached Badami At about 4:50pm .Big Almond Colour stones welcomed us.Badam Means Almonds.Banashankari temple is 3 kms from Badami city and there are nice staying option near temple so we went Banshankari and booked a room At Bhakt Niwas(pilgrim rooms).

After refreshment we wandered near temple.At the evening the surrounding of temple become more joyful.

karnataka is very traditional State.Till they uses Deep(Small candle flame like lightning equipment) Every where.So Evening in karnataka always make our mood something like spiritual or traditional.Our Tillu was also very happy.atillu was most attractive member among us :-) So every body was asking us about him."If he travelled so long distance with you?',"Can he Bite?"

"If he eat our regular food or something different?"

Somany questions n answers:-)Children 

s were very excited about Tillu."wow How cute........"

So Tillu was like a celebrity.We enjoyed each and every moment of that evening.At about 08:00 pm we took our dinner in UDUPI Restaurant.Food was typical Karnataki.But eating at different place with unknown people around you is also good thing(IMHO).After dinner we went to sleep because early morning we had to attend PUJA.But up to midnight there was noise of vehicals and people coming from long travell.We slept after midnight listening all those mixed noises but that was also pleasent experience.

Morning at Banshankari Temple is another joyful thing one has to experience it.Mantra chanting starts very early and most of the piligrims in rush for readying themselves for pooja.All the atmosphere becomes very pleasant After pooja we enjoyed taste of Idli again and started return journey.Since our aim was only pooja so we we avoided to see other things there.We took different road for Bijapur Avoideing Bagalkot.Enjoying back water of Alamatti Dam we reached Bijapur avoiding Bagalkot.We took our Lunch In Bijapur and started to Pandharpur Via Zalaki---Chadachan.Reached Pandharpur at about 7:45 pm.This was first time we returned before late night.Early coming from trip also have its pros.And late night coming from trip have also its different pros:-) we may discuss about this in any other post.Little summary about this trip as below...
